DC Udhampur reviews implementation of PM Shram Yogi Maandhan schemeUDHAMPUR, JANUARY 14: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai today reviewed the implementation and progress of the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan scheme in the district here at a meeting of stakeholder departments.The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Prem Singh; Assistant Director Employment; Chief Executive Officer Municipal Council; Assistant Labour Commissioner and other concerned officers.The Deputy Commissioner reviewed on-ground implementation of the scheme. She stressed the need to bring the workers from the unorganised sector under the ambit of social security benefits.She underscored the significance of the PM-SYM scheme in ensuring financial security for workers who do not have access to formal social security mechanisms.A string of directions were issued to the stakeholder departments to intensify grassroots-level mobilisation and awareness to achieve maximum outreach. The Departments were instructed to identify eligible beneficiaries within their respective jurisdictions and facilitate their enrolment through focused field-level activities.
