*REASI POLICE TIGHTEN GRIP ON NARCO NETWORK; FOUR ARRESTED WITH 11.22 GRAMS HEROIN*#EKYUDHNASHEKEVIRUDH*Reasi, [03.12.2025]:* In a major action against drug trafficking, District Police Reasi achieved another success after a naka established by Police Station Katra at PCP Nomain led to the recovery of heroin (chitta) and the apprehension of four individuals involved in narcotic activities.A patrolling party of Police Station Katra had laid a naka at PCP Nomain where vehicles were being thoroughly checked and occupants properly frisked. At around 1920 hours, a sky-blue Etios car bearing registration number JK02AW 8999, coming from Domail towards Katra, was intercepted for checking. Four persons were found traveling in the vehicle.Upon enquiry, the driver identified himself as Ajay Sharma S/O Rajkumar Sharma R/O Kun Darrorian, Katra. The co-passenger disclosed his identity as Vinay Singh S/O Anil Singh R/O Ward No. 9, Matyal, Katra.They were accompanied by two ladies identified as Sonia Dogra, D/O Bodh Raj, R/O Ward No. 3, Katra and Namita Dogra D/O Bodh Raj, R/O Ward No. 3, Katra.During frisking, the police recovered heroin (Chitta) from the possession of the male occupants:*5.77 grams from Ajay Sharma**5.45 grams, packed in a transparent polypack, from Vinay Singh*The recovery of narcotics from both accused led to immediate legal action. Accordingly, Case FIR No. 325/2025 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Katra and both accused have been arrested. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the source of the contraband and possible links to drug peddling networks.The entire operation was carried out by 𝗦𝗛𝗢 𝗣/𝗦 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽.
