A black Swift Dzire (PB 32 K 0399) coming from Srinagar towards Udhampur was stopped for checking. The driver identified himself as *Bikram Singh S/o Jaipal, R/o Phirni Majra, Tehsil Balachaur, District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Punjab.*During the search of the vehicle, two plastic bags containing a total of 27.05 kg of poppy straw were recovered from the vehicle.The driver failed to provide any satisfactory explanation for the possession of the contraband.Consequently, FIR No. 124/2025 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Chenani. Further investigation is in progress.
